We talked to Rural Fellows Alexa Salinas and Arden Tyree and Empowering Families executive director and co-founder Valeria Rodriguez. The fellows spent the summer with Empowering Families, a nonprofit based in Scottsbluff, registering voters and putting together a candidate brochure.
