The two next sets from my 20th anniversary collection are about raving during the 90’s decade. “Early 90’s Raving” was actually inspired by the beautiful Moby autobiography, in which he passionately describes the ambiance that gave birth to electronic music in NYC. Although I was too young to be part of that movement, I wanted to pay tribute to the rise of the raving culture, by bringing together oldskool house and techno anthems that rocked early clubbing scene in the very first years of the 90’s decade. During this long mix, you will find, for instance, 10 songs within the 50 included in the Mixmag all-time dance ranking, hits from artists such as Derrick May, Frankie Knuckles, Underworld, Moby, Ritchie Hawtin and Orbital, among many others who were just in the beginning of their careers by then. Strongly advised for those who may be over 40 now, but will surely be able to travel back in time to feel how special this period was.
