Laura Thaut Vinson, Ph.D., presents a lecture, "When Religion Becomes a Source of Violence: Insights from Muslim-Christian Communal Violence in Northern Nigeria." Vinson, a 2005 Whitworth alumna, is an assistant professor of political science at Oklahoma State University. She conducts research on ethnic conflict and the politics of global religious change.
