City of Light is a church that wants to follow Jesus' call to make disciples. We partner together as a disciple making team, praying for those that we can plant seeds of invitation to come and see, come and follow, and come and die. In Matthew 10, Jesus sends out his 12 disciples into the harvest field with these seven encouragements:
1. We speak of the Kingdom of heaven (vs. 7).
2. We bring healing for the hurting (vs. 8).
3. We are given the words to say (vs. 19-20)
4. We can count the cost of persecution and rejection (vs. 16-19).
5. We don't have to take rejection personally (vs. 34-39)
6. We do what Jesus did (vs. 24-25).
7. We are with Jesus in the harvest field (vs. 29-31).
