God invites us to train for life in the heavenly city by trusting our father, obeying his way, and following Jesus. God's way is hard, but it leads to our healing. The world's way promises to be easy, but leads to suffering. Hebrews gives us the example of sexual sin to show us how God invites us into his way out of compassion, not condemnation. He invites us into suffering that leads to healing if we will obey.
