We all experience rivalry in lives. In the book of Philippians, Paul encourages us to leave behind rivalry and imitate Jesus. Rivalry says, “I want to be better than you,” but imitation says, “I want to be like you.” Instead of grasping for power, Jesus emptied himself and became like us so that we could become like him.
