In his "Garden of Early Delights" triptych, Hieronymus Bosch--the famous 15th and 16th century artist--painted a brief musical score on the buttocks of a figure featured in the 'Hell' portion of his painting. The notes' appearance resemble the plainsong popular in his day. This work is based on musician, Amelia Hamrick's, transcription of those notes.
