This work is much more complex than it needed to be: between the myriad and numerous layered sounds and textures, to the short-lived juxtoposition of the two chords – Bm and Dm, which share note F, I got carried away, and swept away (candid details below).
I first laid down the droning Bm guitar (after listening to the band, Cigarettes After Sex, for days), The project was heading towards an ambient reckoning, but, then, a long-time + close Friend and Lover hurt Me. It then took a sinister turn.
I followed up on the guitar by layering [haphazardly] as many pads and sounds I could on top of the two chords without giving a thought, almost, but DID pay attention to the rhythm and cadences. I manipulated the volume curves of each and every track with the utmost of detail after having gotten them out of My system, becoming an audience to the resulting layers, rather than a cognizant, controlling composer.
It was a flurry of manic activity exorcising My hurt; this is the product.

Disquiet Junto Project 0514: Chord Channels
The Assignment: Take two chords and connect them over time.
Step 1: The goal of this project is to produce a slow piece of music in which you move back and forth between two chords. Choose two chords that have at least one note in common.
Step 2: Map out the notes of each chord.
Step 3: Compose a piece of music in which the individual notes of each chord slowly appear and disappear, so that at any point in time part of one chord, or part of both chords, or perhaps even both chords in their entirety can be heard.
