In keeping with 'SoundCloud-as-one's-personal-music-archive' theme, I have uploaded this short novelty piece that I recorded around 1991.
I was inspired to do so due to the Disquiet Junto's compositional assignment, [0180-Matryoshka Music], which has sound artist participants compose a piece of original music while having a six-piece Matryoshka doll fixed in their heads--a la, "Use the Russian nesting dolls as a model for a musical composition." I thought, "'Kaleidoscope Boys' would be a perfect selection for this week's Disquiet Junto assignment," as, in composing it, I was picturing two Asian boy dolls dueling with toy pianos; alas, I shall compose a new, original piece to answer the Disquiet Junto's assignment.
