"I aimed immediately ,when I saw this Disquiet Junto prompt, to finish it quickly, using found sounds and light synthesizer treatments. I was inspired instantly about this upcoming aural 'quilt', or 'Collage'; Marc's words were My mantra:
'Create a 'musical collage' -- however one might define it, likely -- using the equivalent of cut and paste. When doing so, consider the sense in which your collage might itself become part of a subsequent collage.' [~ Marc Weidenbaum ( https://soundcloud.com/disquiet )]
What won'drous words. I set out to find something I could fragment into little pieces, juxtapose, and sew together, like a quilt, a proper piece of music in a perfect little 'square tidbit' that could be infixed into a larger aural tapestry, and be pixelized, and fragmentory, and, thus, stand on its own without being noticed.
I mangled a very lengthy piano improvisation, and kept but seconds of the original, chopped them up, and juxtaposed them against what a Friend, Prof. Oddfellow [ https://soundcloud.com/prof-oddfellow ], has called 'a mechanical toad.'
I then added synthesizer treatments."
