Prevailing wage is a tempting revenue stream for painting contractors, but it can be tricky to negotiate efficiently and profitably. There are plenty of pros and cons to consider before jumping in, and there is a good store of case studies from which one could learn from others' mistakes. Jim Kaloutas of Kaloutas painting in Massachusetts joins us to talk about how he built his business on prevailing wage opportunities, and how he learned to be a bit more selective over time.
