(MAY 11, 2019) Vaccines are medicine. They prevent many diseases. The flu is one disease. Measles is another.
Doctors usually give vaccines to patients. But there is a new law in Oregon. Now dentists can give vaccines to patients, too.
Dentists usually work only on teeth. Now they will learn to give vaccines. They will start next year.
Oregon is the only state that permits this. The government wants to help. The government wants more people to have vaccines. The government wants people to be healthy.
