These last days, residents of Sjælsmark deportation camp have boycotted school, kindergarten, the cafeteria and meldepligt. Here you can hear why.
Sjælsmark is an old military building turned into deportation camp for rejected asylum seekers in the beginning of 2015. The camp is part of the government's "motivational measures", which intend to motivate rejected asylum seekers to leave Denmark, by placing them under unbearable conditions. Several times, residents of Sjælsmark have organised to protest these conditions, and demanded the closing of the camps and opening of their cases.
