Jesus, the Son of David came to came to fulfill God's promise to bring a forever King to sit on David's throne (2 Samuel 7:1–17). His kingdom through His first advent has been inaugurated and will some day be consummated when He returns. In the in between we can hope for the King, live in the kingdom—by the power of the Spirit—and announce the kingdom to a lost world.
