David wanted to build a house for God, but God turned the table and blessed David with this promise, "The LORD will make a house for you...I will raise up your descendant after you, who will come forth from you, and I will establish his kingdom. He shall build a house for My name, and I will establish the throne of his kingdom forever." Jesus is the fulfillment of that promise. He is the king we can hope in and his is a kingdom we can live in even as we await his second advent and the culmination of his kingdom.
