God is a triune God... one God eternally existing as three persons: the Father, Son and Spirit. He did not create out of need, but out of an overflow of abundant joy and love and fellowship that He wanted to share with His creatures. Our world came from the overflow, the excess of God's happiness within the Trinity. This God from eternity past planned for our rescue and redemption so that we might share in His life and love.
