The Gospel does not leave us "saved" but "enslaved." Rather, in and through the Gospel we experience true freedom. The answer to Paul's cry of despair (Romans 7:24) is a call to believe in the Gospel and its power to free us from habitual sin and trust in the Holy Spirit's to enable us to live out our life in Christ.
