The Acts of the Apostles picks up with the Gospel of Luke leaves off. Here we see Jesus ascending into heaven and promising to send the gift of the Holy Spirit, who will empower the disciples for purpose: their purpose to continue all that Jesus did and taught and to be his witnesses to the ends of the earth.
