Mark 10:13-16. Jesus’ attitude here may have been a shock to the Jews. Boys were not considered significant until the age of 13; girls never so. Jesus’ counter-culture attitude reveals his loving heart. Further, Jesus demonstrates that salvation comes through a dependent, childlike faith.
