This sermon is a reflection on Isaiah 55:1-9 and Luke 13:1-9, and unpacks the parable of the fig tree that has not yet borne fruit. What makes for a "happy tree?" How do we see God portrayed in this story? As we dig deeper into the story we witness a God who encourages us to expand and thrive not to be brought low or to suffer.
