An experiment at all levels, @puncti pushes performance and improvisation to its expressive limits. A physical and sonic shapeshifter, the punctï project's style varies by collaborator yet consistently hinges on a post-punk reckoning, merging a minimalist musical atmosphere with meditative distortion and noise, striking vocals, hypnotic melody and situationist’s wink.
Spearheaded by artist and writer Laura Bardsley, punctï is an experimental “yes wave” project steeped in “noise, meditation and inner turmoil.”
Set as a phone call to Puncti Enterprises, this mix is much like navigating the automated bureaucracy of late capitalism, with the on-hold music being the most beautiful part of the interaction. It begins on a strong EDM vibe, mirroring the vigor and passion with which we have when calling into a company to get answers. As the wait time sets in, the tracks reflect the forced peace that comes from patience, and then the anger and frustration of still being on hold. Ads pepper the mix as we move forward, and a voice of reason emerges to ease and educate our trying patience. We end with an uncontested boxing match and a click of the receiver.

Une expérience à tous les niveaux, @puncti pousse la performance et l'improvisation jusqu'à ses limites expressives. Métamorphe physique et sonore, le style du projet punctï varie en fonction du collaborateur mais repose toujours sur une considération post-punk, fusionnant une atmosphère musicale minimaliste avec de la noise et de la distorsion méditative, un chant saisissant, des mélodies hypnotiques et des clins d'oeil situationnistes. Dirigé par l'artiste et écrivaine Laura Bardsley, punctï est un projet expérimental de « yes wave » qui prend ses racines dans « la noise, la méditation et l'agitation intérieure ».
Conçu comme un appel téléphonique à Puncti Enterprises, ce set ressemble beaucoup à une navigation dans la bureaucratie automatisée du capitalisme tardif, la musique d'attente étant la plus belle partie de l'interaction. Cela commence sur une forte ambiance EDM, reflétant la vigueur et la passion avec lesquelles nous faisons appel à une entreprise pour obtenir des réponses. Au fur et à mesure que le temps d'attente s'installe, les pistes reflètent la paix forcée qui vient de la patience, puis la colère et la frustration d'être toujours en attente. Les publicités pimentent le set à mesure que nous avançons, et une voix de raison émerge pour soulager et éduquer notre patience éprouvante. Nous terminons par un match de boxe incontesté et un clic du receveur.
