Episode 78 takes a weekend trip to explore all the complicated issues surrounding race relations in modern society. Well, at least as far as your can get in a horror movie where the kind liberal characters are the monsters. “Get Out”(2017) has a super tight script that doesn’t lose your interest for a minute or waste your time on the same old tropes delivered in the same old ways. Speaking of color, Jolyon has the week dedicated to drawing a green guy named “Gumby”, so it’s up to Will and Richard to hold down the fort. Make no mistake, the guys aren’t operating under the foolish notion that they’ll actually figure it all out, but promise to keep open minds and just be good people. Will talks about that time he and some friends terrified a young cashier in Iowa by just looking a little different. Richard points out that he doesn’t need TSA agent Rod to like him in order to like Rod. But then, Richard does like bocce ball after all, so he might just be "one of them”. Would Duran Duran play a vintage foosball table for hours on end? Why, yes they would...and they did! There were no leather chairs or deer heads in the green room, though. If the conspicuous use of cotton as makeshift earplugs doesn’t take you out of a movie, then you should be good to go for all the brain stuff. Just leave your disbelief at the door!
