He explained that prayer is a form of spiritual warfare, meaning we are contending with an unseen yet very real realm. God provides His people with spiritual armour to stand against the forces of evil and to extinguish the flaming arrows of the evil one. As believers, this armour is not given to keep us in constant anxiety or to make us look over our shoulders, but to encourage us to pray—knowing that we have full access to God’s provision so that we can stand firm and pray on all occasions.
