After a long hiatus, the forthcoming album entitled "BILLO" drops this month by singer-songwriter Will Hammond Jr. It is a tribute to his musical history.....growing up in the 90's hip-soul/soul scene and listening to folks like Tribe Called Quest, Erykah Badu and other progressive bands of that time. This new project is also a "rebirth" as the title of the album "BILLO" is a childhood name given to him and brings back a time of innocence and growth as an artist.
Will Hammond started his artistic career in elementary school, attending the Cathedral School for Boys and singing in the Grace Cathedral Choir of Men and Boys. While studying music and theater at San Francisco State University, he wrote and arranged the smash hit “Hold You Tight” performed by Tara Kemp on the Warner Bros. label. The song went to #3 on the Billboard Pop and R&B charts and went to become a certified gold record.
BILLO is streaming virtually. Goto https://willhammondjr.bandcamp.com/album/billo to listen, comment and share!
