The Theme for this show is ‘Attachment to God’. This show starts by sharing a few couplets from a short poem written by Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad, The Promised Messiah (peace be upon him), who also wrote some poems as another means to spread the truthful message of Islam.
Then we hear the enchanting words from the talented poet sister Rizwana Aziz on the attachment to God titled ‘Light upon Light’ which was inspired Ch24:Verse36 of the Holy Quran.
The next poetical couplets are from the wonderful words of sister Naseera Mirza from Wandsworth in London, which helps in understanding an attachment to God.
This is then followed by the inspiring words of the acclaimed poet, brother Joseph McTaggart, with his splendid poem titled ‘To Serve’.
The next poem has the charm to send a warming chill through a frozen heart, prepared by the Ahmadi ladies of Mauritius, dedicated to the love of God and sung in French, followed by the English translation by Miss Mariam Hameed.
Sister Mufleha Saleem Ahmad then shared her wise words, in her poem titled, ‘The word of God’ sharing the spark of Love which has touched her heart…for the love of God.
The final poem was first presented during the 2021 online God Summit, which was an event aiming to answer your biggest questions about the existence of God. From Ghana, some priceless pearls from the spoken word artist, brother Abdul Moomen with an array of captivating words with his poem titled: ‘God will find you’.
