The Friends of Harvard Baseball and Harvard Varsity Club teamed up to present the first-ever "Harvard Baseball Winter Meetings," featuring a panel of Harvard baseball alumni who currently serve as top executives within Major League Baseball. Panelists included Michael Hill ’93, President of Baseball Operations for the Miami Marlins, David Forst ’98, General Manager of the Oakland Athletics, Jeff Bridich ’00, Senior VP & General Manager of the Colorado Rockies, Ben Crockett ’02, Vice President of Player Development for the Boston Red Sox, and Peter Woodfork ’99, Senior VP of Baseball Operations for MLB. The discussion was moderated by Jon Morosi '04, who is a Baseball Insider for the MLB Network, MLB.com, and FOX Sports. Topics of conversation included how their experiences at Harvard led them to their current roles, advice for individuals looking to break into the industry, and insight into how deals get done within Major League Baseball.
