Divine Light Seed Meditation
I have been guided to practice and share this meditation which was revealed to me some time back. It's a simple practice which takes about ten minutes to do. Three times a week it needs to be done for longer.
This is how we practice...
Sit comfortably.
Imagine a beautiful flame of light in the center of your heart. This represents the Light of Love / God / Wisdom, like a living seed in the core of your being. This will inspire, uplift and purify you.
Now inwardly repeat a mantra that inspires you. I practice with the mantra "Om Sri Sai Ram". Choose a mantra that is meaningful to you. Focus on this flame of light within your heart. Each word of the mantra should be repeated with clarity and focus. It is like a sacred offering to this inner light. As you chant, the flame grows bright and steady. This will calm and strengthen you.
Now imagine you are bathed in a Golden Light. It surrounds you and completely fills the space you are in. This represents the Grace, Guidance and Protection of the Divine. You are always safe and looked after. This will release all fears and anxieties.
Simultaneously keep attention on these three elements: inner light in the heart; the mantra; being bathed in golden light. Sometimes a Divine Being may appear within the flame. Sometimes it will happen that the inner light will merge with the outer light. Other things may also happen. Don't expect anything. Don't overthink. Just do the practice.
Repeat the mantra slowly and clearly 108 times. A japa mala can be used to keep count. Then sit quietly for a minute or two. Conclude the practice.
Do this practice daily, once in the morning and once in the evening. During the day, periodically return to the practice. Repeat the mantra and reconnect with the inner flame and the outer golden light whenever you have an opportunity.
Three times a week do the practice for 20 minutes. This can be done in the morning or evening. This will deepen the practice.
This is a meditation that everyone can do. It gives immense blessings and leads to liberation in this lifetime. All fears, worries, unskillful habits and disturbing thoughts gradually get eliminated by this practice. Natural joy, ease and wisdom saturate the whole being. One is filled with devotion, confidence and with only one remaining desire: to love all and serve all as a reflection of the Divine, of our own Self.
If this practice inspires you, then it is meant for you. Begin practicing without delay.
