Humanity?
China recently announced the successful creation of a monkey-pig hybrid. Although in the early stages, one goal for these chimeras is to breed them to grow human organs to meet the demands of human patients. What type of existence is that for these creatures? Meanwhile, thousands of buffalo were sacrificed in Nepal in a horrific stadium-style mass beheading by sword-wielding shamans. What does this teach us about our own humanity? What are the spiritual implications? What can this teach us if we were to one day realize we-too were being used in a similar manner?
