This week our top 3 issues are these: 1) we discuss the Permanent Fund Board's proposal to change the structure of the Permanent Fund; to us, it represents the attempted completion of a triple play - first, the legislature came for savings, then they came for the PFD, and now, they are coming for the Permanent Fund corpus (2:21); 2) we explain why we are increasingly frustrated from a fiscal perspective with the direction in which AIDEA - the Alaska Industrial Development and Export Authority - is headed (19:55); and 3) using an approach developed at the federal budget level, we examine another way to evaluate North Slope oil tax credits - or what would be called at the federal level, tax expenditures (37:15).
