1) He was DISRESPECTFUL of His Father’s Leadership - Luke 15:12
2) He was DISTRUSTFUL of His Father’s Restraint - Luke 15:12; Genesis 3:5
3) He was DISDAINFUL of His Father’s Provision - Luke 15:13
Six Characteristics of the Ruins of Sin:
• A Sinful Life is a DEPARTING Life - Luke 15:13
• A Sinful Life is a SPENDING Life - Luke 15:13
• A Sinful Life is a WANTING Life - Luke 15:14
• A Sinful Life is an ENSLAVING Life - Luke 15:15; John 8:34
• A Sinful Life is a DISSATISFYING Life - Luke 15:16
• A Sinful Life is an UNBALANCING Life - Luke 15:17
2. The RETURN of the Prodigal - Luke 15:17; Ezekiel 18:28
Four Steps in Returning to God:
1) He CONFESSED His Fault – “I have sinned”
