Campbell swimming coach Pascal Molinard’s family tree uprooted from France to the Caribbean island of Martinique not very long after Christopher Columbus first landed there.
The explorer spirit that led his ancestors to the Caribbean centuries ago was still inside, leading him to the United States for high school, then college. It led him to Buies Creek in 1991, where he not only took over the Aquatics Center, but also Carter Gym, while running Campbell's intramurals as well.
That explorer spirit propelled him to start a women’s swim team from scratch 14 years ago and has built them up to a record-breaking team, both in the pool and the classroom...here’s his story.
