Listen to Jonathan Wittenberg, Senior Rabbi to Masorti Judaism in the UK and Rabbi of the New North London Synagogue, delivering the introductory address to the 'Democracy in Crisis: Moral & Spiritual Resistance' interfaith symposium held by Cumberland Lodge and the Council of Christians and Jews (CCJ) on 7 January 2019, in Windsor Great Park.

Rabbi Wittenberg is President of the CCJ and a member of the Council of Imams and Rabbis. He is deeply engaged in supporting refugees, and he teaches and speaks widely, including on BBC Radio 4's 'Prayer of the Day'. His books include 'The Three Pillars of Judaism', 'A Search for Faith & Values', and 'My Dear Ones' about his family's own experience of the Holocaust. He is one of the UK's leading voices in Holocaust education and commemoration. He also contributed to the joint CCJ / Cumberland Lodge study guide 'Moral Dilemmas in Challenging Times', published in 2018.
