Since kicking off in 2017 with a flurry of big room and trance singles, K1C3V5K1 leaps head-first into a future house genre with Wanna Hold You, his debut release on Play Records.
“I tried to minimize the number of instruments, especially in the drop,” says K1C3V5K1. “I was inspired by other tracks that have done the same, like Rony Rex’s Lift Yo Legs.”
While Wanna Hold You is certainly minimalist, it has a rich sound propelled by a pulsing rhythmic drop and catchy vocals. It is, in a word, tight.
