Cymatix is no newcomer to Drum and Bass. His sound is rooted in the era where weight, groove and atmosphere mattered just as much as raw energy — a time when tracks were built to move crowds, not chase algorithms. That influence runs deep throughout Unfinished Business, with nods to classic Drum and Bass aesthetics reworked through a contemporary lens.
After stepping away from production over a decade, Cymatix re-emerged in 2023 with a renewed focus and found a natural home on Architecture Recordings. A run of releases on the label set the foundation for this LP, re-establishing his presence and sharpening a sound that balances experience with hunger.
Unfinished Business builds on those releases and expands outward, showcasing versatility across the Drum and Bass spectrum — from deep, rolling pressure to more atmospheric and driving cuts. Despite the range, the intent is consistent: these tracks are designed for the dance floor. They’re tested and engineered to work at volume, with groove and momentum at the core.
This debut LP isn’t about reinvention for its own sake. It’s about picking up where things were left off — and finishing the job properly.
