1. Giving Thanks to God
2. Victory through Jesus over Sin and Death
B. Display the Resurrection
1. Faithful
a. Steadfast- Not shaken by despair or temptation
b. Immovable- Rooted in the Gospel (Colossians 1:23)
2. Fruitful
a. Abounding- working, striving, growing
b. Work of the Lord (1 Cor. 3:8; 1 Thess. 1:3; Col. 3:17)
c. Not in Vain- Not all results visible/rewarded in this life
II. So, what about Deacons?
A. Church Roles established by God (Acts 6:1-7; 1 Timothy 3:8-13)
1. Every Christian Proclaims and Displays
2. Pastors are Servant Leaders, focusing on Proclaim
3. Deacons are Leading Servants, focusing on Display
B. Deacons Serve the Three Tables of the Church.
1. Table of the Widow/Poor/Overlooked
2. Table of the Pastor
3. Table of the Lord
C. Deacons Display Godly Character and Good Reputation
D. Deacons Represent Service, they don’t Restrict It
1. Lead Teams and Get Others Involved
2. Increase (not limit) number of people serving
E. Deacons Set the Stage for Growth
