How to Be a Seeker-Friendly Church
1. Learn from Zacchaeus
-Seek Jesus, the Only source of true hope and fulfillment
-Be Honest and Humbled by our sins
-Respond to Jesus in Faith, Joy, and Obedience
2. Refuse the Crowd
-Do we want to see Jesus or have dinner with him?
-Never count someone outside the power of God
-Recognize that many people want and need to get closer to Jesus but aren't able b/c of the religious crowd wanting to be closer to Jesus
-Don't Confuse Holiness with Isolation (Superiority, Pride)
3. Proclaim and Display Jesus
-Seek and Save the Lost
*We don't "save" people but we do live out the mission of Christ
-Speak to People- treat them as people, not projects
-Go on their turf (when possible); hospitality
-Point to a New Life and Future in Christ
