June 22nd, 1998: It's the go-home show before the incredible "King of the Ring 1998," but matches and stipulations are still being added! Vince McMahon tells us that the WWF Title match between "Stone Cold" Steve Austin and Kane will be a First Blood Match, and Kane then speaks for the first time in 20 years to announce what he will do to himself if he loses. Later, Kane takes on "Road Dogg" Jesse James while his tag team partner Mankind squares off with Billy Gunn. After seven straight weeks of bizarre vignettes, Edge finally debuts on "Raw" against Los Boricuas member Jose Estrada............ but the match does not quite go as planned. The King of the Ring tournament continues with four quarterfinal matches: Ken Shamrock vs. Mark Henry, Jeff Jarrett vs. Marc Mero, Owen Hart vs. Dan "The Beast" Severn, and (awesomely) The Rock vs. Triple-H! An injured Paul Bearer is interviewed live via satellite from his house, but his own home may not even be a safe enough sanctuary to protect him from the wrath of The Undertaker. X-Pac goes one-on-one with Dustin Runnels in a match where the heel and face roles appear to be reversed. Jerry "The King" Lawler may finally be willing to grant Al Snow a meeting with Vince McMahon, but Al and Head will first need to defeat a tag team of Lawler's choosing at "King of the Ring."

Plus, Sable has apparently been given some sort of executive position within the WWF and Mick Foley reminds us all of the fact that he used to be amazing at cutting promos.

Meanwhile over on "Nitro," WCW is bringing in NBA and NFL stars to help them try and compete with "Raw."
