It was back in 1978, when i first met the piano, and started to dive deep into the magic of music. Certain parents know that some things need to be done in those early stages, and i was one of those blessed kids who embraced sounds with a rather childish curiousity which turned into passion year by year.
I remember when i first played electronic music to my dad, it was back in the 90’s, and i was driving us to a fly fishing session. All our way down, music was killing the speakers, and after a while he looked at me and said: “ what kind of music is this?”
So i started to explain everything i knew back then, played him different tunes, so we ended up nearly skipping our fishing session... at the end, his reaction was : “ it really sounds nice, a bit different from anything i ever listened to, not exactly up my alley, but im really glad music is part of your life”.
Thank you Dad, this one goes to you, and im sure you’d ask again what kind of music this is, but this time,my reply is : just music, good music dad. Love you forever, you’ll always be my hero!
During 2 hours, i have tried to create a journey through various genres, although most of it is going to focus on the dub side, but also melodic. My Dad used to like these kind of vibes, probably because of the atmospheric, delayed and reverbed sounds, so i hope you guys will jump on the waves with us .
