This song was originally recorded by Rufus Thomas in 1953 and covered by Elvis in 1968. This is the second song with my new gear: the Kaossilator Synthesizer/Drum Machine and Tannoy powered monitors... I've been doing a solo act now for a couple of years and the Kaossilator allows me to have a rhythm section backup for recordings and live. New gear - new direction. It really frees me from having to carry the beat on the rhythm guitar for every part of every song. It's way more fun and I get to focus on the emotional part of the performance and play some leads that I couldn't play without backup. I love this new setup and look forward to finishing this new album and more gigs in the future!
