Benchmark US indices - with the exception of the Nasdaq - finished with modest losses, with reports that Special Counsel Robert Mueller had expanded his investigation into alleged Russian interference in the US election to include some of President Trump's business transactions causing some intra-day volatilty - Dow eased -29-points or -0.13% and the broader S&P500 -0.02% (having hit a fresh intra-day high of 2,477.62 earlier in the session). However, the technology-centric NASDAQ extended its recent rally into a tenth consecutive session with a +0.08% gain - notching a fresh record closing high for a third day in-a-row and the longest winning streak for the index since February 2015. Big name home improvement retailers Home Depot (down -4.09%) and Lowe's (-5.56%) were under pressure after Sears Holdings (up +10.6%) sealed a deal to sell Kenmore appliances through Amazon.com
