US equity markets snapped a four session winning streak amid reports that the Trump administration is poised to press ahead with tariffs against US$200B worth of Chinese products - Dow down -138-points or -0.53% and back below <26,000. The broader S&P500 fell 0.44%, NASDAQ settled -0.26% lower after hitting yet another fresh record intra-day high earlier in the session. Amazon.com Inc (up +0.21% to US$2,002.38) broke above US$2,000 per share for the first time (and closing in on becoming the second company behind Apple Inc (up +0.92%) to top US$1 trillion in market capitalisation). Apple announced that it will host an event on 12 September where the company is expected to announce its latest iteration of the iPhone.
