The Dow closed 166 points higher or +0.64%, led by a 2.9% gain in Boeing. Other movers in the Dow were Disney up almost 2% and Exxon Mobil up 1.42%. At the other end Merck fell 1.6% and Walgreens was down 1.26%. The S&P 500 climbed +0.21%, notching its first six-day winning streak since February 2018, as the materials and energy sectors outperformed. The Nasdaq, however, lost -0.05% as Tesla shares were under pressure.
