US equities edged mostly higher last Friday (11 May) to cap their best weekly performance in ~2-months - Dow up +92-points or +0.37%, extending its rally into a seventh consecutive session to log its longest winning streak since a similar stretch that ended on 8 November, 2017. The broader S&P500 +0.17%, with the Telecommunications (up +2.1%) and Healthcare (+1.5%) sectors producing the best advance of the 11 primary sectors. The technology-sector NASDAQ dipped -0.03% to break a five session winning streak. Apple Inc (down -0.38%) traded ex-dividend US$0.73c and broke a nine session winning streak. For the week, the Dow rose +2.3%, S&P500 +2.4% (led by the Energy and Technology sectors, which logged weekly gains +3.8% and +3.5% respectively) and the Nasdaq +2.7%. Looking ahead this week and Chinese Vice Premier Liu He is expected to travel to Washington for trade talks with US Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin.
