U.S. stocks struggled on Wednesday as sharp losses in the health-care sector offset strong quarterly earnings results. The Dow dipped 3 points to 26,449, while the S&P 500 fell two tenths of a percent to 2,900. The Nasdaq closed down 4 points at 7,996. The Nasdaq 100 however rose three tenths of a percent and hit a record high.
