US markets mixed - Dow rallied +104-points or +0.44% to a fresh record closing high, with JPMorgan (up +2.34%) and United Health the leading index constituents. However, the broader S&P500 dipped -0.04%, with falls in the Technology sector (down 2.6%) more than offsetting gains for the Financials sector (up +1.8%). The technology-centric NASDAQ lost -1.27%, with index heavyweights Facebook (down -4%), Netflix (-5.5%) and Alphabet (-2.44%) all falling sharply amid signs that a rotation may be under way into other sectors on hopes the tax reform process will progress. Separately, the Wall Street Journal reported that Nasdaq plans to launch Bitcoin futures in the first half of 2018 (oh dear).
