Europe’s main stock benchmark finished roughly flat Wednesday with global trade concerns still hovering over markets as China readies tariffs on the US and the EU looks at mustering big auto-making countries to agree to a new trade deal. Trading volumes were lighter than usual because US financial markets were closed for the Independence Day holiday. The German DAX was down 31.5 points or -0.26%, the FTSE closed 20 points lower or -.27% and the CAC was up 3 points, or +0.07%.
