US markets settled little changed, recovering from steep falls earlier in the session - Dow slipped -22-points or -0.09%, recovering from an earlier -589 point drop. Banks were a notable drag, with J.P. Morgan Chase and Co down -2.17% . The broader S&P500 inched +0.08% higher , logging its biggest intra-day comeback of the year after falling almost 2% earlier in the session. Materials (up +1.32%) and Consumer Staples (+1.16%) led the rebound, while the Financials sector (down -1.21%) was the biggest drag. NASDAQ +0.38%, with Apple Inc (up +1.04%) helping to drag the index back from an earlier -1.4% decline.
