US markets rallied in the wake of the mid-term elections that delivered a divided Congress as expected, with the Democrats taking control of the House and the Republicans strengthening their grip on the Senate - Dow up +495-points or +1.93% to move back above >26,000 for the first time in ~1-month. The benchmark index also traded above its 50-day moving average for the time in ~1-month also. The broader S&P500 +2.05%, NASDAQ +2.36%. Markets took a fresh leg higher following news that Attorney General Jeff Sessions had resigned, apparently at the request of President Trump. Matthew G. Whitaker is Mr Sessions replacement.
