A short overnight wrap today as U.S. markets were closed for the Martin Luther King Jnr holiday. European markets pulled back slightly overnight however on light trade, as stocks paused for a breather after two strong weeks of gains– Germany's DAX fell -0.3%, France's CAC and the London FTSE both slipped -0.1%. Utilities was the second top-performing sector Monday with Endesa as a top performing utility stock, closing up 1.4 percent after Goldman Sachs raised its price target and rating on the stock. Also, one of the major stories in stock specific news was U.K. construction firm Carillion entered liquidation. The company's shares were suspended from trading, but its rivals rose on the news, with Serco up over 7 percent and Interserve rising 2 percent.
