US equity markets rallied, buoyed by positive updates on President Trump’s health and as investors continued to eye potential fresh stimulus measures - Dow settled +466-points or +1.68% higher. The broader S&P500 gained +1.80%, with Energy (up +2.9%), Information Technology (+2.27%) and Health Care (+2.09%) logging gains of over >2% and leading all eleven primary sectors higher. The Nasdaq rallied +2.29%. Nvidia Corp rose +4.4% as the company laid out a multi-year plan to create a new kind of chip for data centres aimed at siphoning off more functions from its chief rival Intel Corp (+1.33%). The small capitalisation Russell 2000 index outperformed with a +2.8% rise.
